THE STUDIO

Shirley Lauber has owned an interior design studio in the north since 2013. The studio is in    the beautiful Galilee and brings with its uniqueness and especially a lot of love for work and people. Shirley holds a BA from University of Haifa and graduate study of Interior Design at the Technicon / Israel Institute of Technology. A member of IID -Israel Interior Designers Association / Design Academics and Practical Engineers. The studio provides a solution and specializes in designing interior spaces in various areas: hotels, private homes, restaurants, cafes, exhibition halls and showrooms and conceptual spaces. The studio's motto is to treat each project as a work that brings with it a story and originality of its own and engraved on its banner the term: "the beauty of simplicity."

PROCESS

The emphases that accompany the studio in building a program in each project are my, "I believe." These emphases are expressed understanding the needs and demands of the client and the environment on one hand and materials, furniture and accessories that contribute to creating an atmosphere on the other hand. The studio leads a unique design line that is committed to a total design that is connected to global trends and especially to a better lifestyle. I also believe that designing a space that serves the needs of the customer and yet has a design statement that contributes to the atmosphere is the best way to communicated with the clients.

The design line that characterizes the studio is classic minimalism. It means that it is design combining modernism with classical elements that create a unique design language with European fragrances and Israeli chutzpah. In all projects, the concept must connect to the natural environment.  I believe that the house must come in context to the natural environment and landscape as well. There is no doubt that if we want design concept to reflect the wishes of the client, it is important for me as a designer to integrate and share it in every stage of the project.  Starting with the preliminary sketches, visualization, materials, general plans, and materials. As an interior designer no less important than the result is the way, means full and synchronized cooperation with the client, the professionals and other elements involved in the design work.

INSPIRATION

Nature symbolizes beauty for me, and it is also a source of inspiration. The Inspiration formed in context of a: location, people, character, hobbies, love, music, memories, and stories and all the things that the client brings with him. All these and more create a design concept that at the end of the process will define the connection between: Outside & Inside. Opaque & transparent, Modern & traditional, Social & intimate Rugged& delicate Natural & artificial.
